The itinerary

    Day 1

    Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m)

    Your adventure begins upon arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal’s vibrant capital. Upon landing, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from World Trade Travel & Tours who will assist you with your transfer to the hotel. After checking in, take some time to relax and settle in. In the evening, there will be a briefing about the trek, where your guide will explain the itinerary, and offer tips and essential information to prepare you for the days ahead. You’ll also have an opportunity to go over any last-minute details and ask any questions about the journey. The rest of the evening is yours to explore the lively streets of Kathmandu or rest after your long flight.

    Day 2

    Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (700m) – 8-9 hours

    After an early breakfast, you will embark on an 8-9 hour scenic drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola, the starting point of your trek. The drive takes you through lush, green hills, charming villages, and picturesque river valleys. Along the way, you’ll witness stunning landscapes, pass by terraced farmlands, and view the mighty Trisuli River as it meanders through the valley. Upon arrival at Soti Khola, you’ll settle into a comfortable lodge for the night. This quaint village marks the start of your trekking adventure, and the quiet ambiance provides a peaceful setting for the journey ahead.

    Day 3

    Trek to Machha Khola (869m) – 6-7 hours

    Today, your trek begins as you follow the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through lush forests, terraced fields, and a few charming villages along the way. The trail gradually ascends, offering beautiful views of the river and surrounding hills. You will cross several suspension bridges that add to the adventure of the day. As you continue trekking, you’ll enjoy glimpses of the first snow-capped peaks in the distance, which hints at the grandeur of what’s to come. After a satisfying day of walking, you’ll arrive at Machha Khola, a small village nestled along the river where you’ll spend the night.

    Day 4

    Trek to Jagat (1,340m) – 6-7 hours

    Today’s journey brings you to Jagat, a charming village with stone-paved lanes and vibrant local culture. The trail continues to wind along the river, gradually gaining elevation. As you trek through forested areas, you will pass by traditional villages, cross suspension bridges, and witness incredible views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The region is inhabited by a mix of local ethnic groups, and you may catch glimpses of their way of life. Jagat is known for its stone-paved streets and welcoming community, and it offers an opportunity to experience the hospitality of the local people. You’ll stay in a comfortable teahouse overnight in this picturesque village.

    Day 5

    Trek to Deng (1,860m) – 6-7 hours

    Today, the trail continues to ascend gradually as you pass through terraced fields, cross more suspension bridges, and make your way through dense forests. The landscapes begin to change as you move towards higher elevations, offering spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. The trail meanders through remote villages, where you’ll get a closer look at the traditional way of life in this remote part of Nepal. After a long day of trekking, you’ll arrive at Deng, a small village situated at a higher altitude, where you will rest for the night.

    Day 6

    Trek to Namrung (2,630m) – 6-7 hours

    Today marks your entry into the higher altitudes as you trek towards Namrung, a village that serves as a gateway to the more rugged and remote regions of the trek. The journey will take you through several Tibetan-influenced settlements, where you’ll encounter Buddhist monasteries, prayer flags, and mani walls inscribed with sacred mantras. The route offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, including Mt. Manaslu in the distance. The Tibetan influence is evident in the culture and architecture of the villages you pass, providing a fascinating cultural experience. You’ll arrive at Namrung, a village with incredible mountain views, where you’ll stay overnight.

    Day 7

    Trek to Samagaun (3,530m) – 6-7 hours

    As you continue your ascent today, you’ll trek through alpine terrain, passing by spectacular landscapes and beautiful vistas. Your destination for the day is Samagaun, a serene village located at the foot of Mount Manaslu. As you approach the village, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and glaciers. Samagaun is a key point for acclimatization, and it offers an opportunity to explore local monasteries and experience the Tibetan Buddhist culture. The village is also home to several sacred sites, and you may visit some of these in the afternoon. You’ll spend the night here to rest and adjust to the altitude.

    Day 8

    Acclimatization day at Samagaun

    To help your body adjust to the higher altitudes, today will be an acclimatization day. While you rest, you can explore the surrounding area, including a hike to Manaslu Base Camp (optional) or the beautiful Pungyen Gompa. These optional hikes allow you to enjoy stunning views of Mount Manaslu and the surrounding glaciers. Taking it easy today will ensure that you are properly acclimatized for the more challenging sections ahead. You’ll return to Samagaun for the night.

    Day 9

    Trek to Samdo (3,860m) – 3-4 hours

    Today’s trek is shorter, allowing for further acclimatization as you ascend to Samdo, a Tibetan village perched at an elevation of 3,860 meters. The route offers spectacular views of the nearby mountains, and the village provides incredible opportunities for photography and cultural exploration. The people of Samdo lead a traditional life, and you will get a chance to learn more about their customs and daily routines. The peaceful and remote atmosphere makes Samdo an ideal place for rest before continuing the trek.

    Day 10

    Trek to Dharamsala/High Camp (4,460m) – 4-5 hours

    Today’s journey takes you further up the mountain, as you trek towards Dharamsala, also known as High Camp, the base for crossing the Larkya La Pass. This challenging day of trekking will bring you higher into the alpine region, surrounded by awe-inspiring mountain views. Dharamsala is a basic settlement, but it provides a strategic location for acclimatization and rest before tackling the pass. The views of the surrounding peaks are absolutely stunning, and the night at Dharamsala will give you the necessary rest for the challenging day ahead.

    Day 11

    Cross Larkya La Pass (5,160m) and descend to Bimthang (3,720m) – 8-10 hours

    Today is the highlight of the trek as you cross Larkya La Pass, one of the highest and most difficult points of the journey at 5,160 meters. This challenging and strenuous day involves a long ascent to the top of the pass, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Kang Guru. After taking in the awe-inspiring views, you will descend to Bimthang, a serene village where you will rest and recover from the day’s exertion. The descent is steep, but the beautiful alpine scenery makes the effort worthwhile.

    Day 12

    Trek to Tilije (2,300m) – 5-6 hours

    After crossing the pass, today’s trek is a bit easier as you descend further into the valley, passing through lush forests, rhododendron-covered trails, and picturesque landscapes. You will arrive at Tilije, a charming village where you can relax and reflect on your achievement of crossing Larkya La. Tilije is a vibrant village with a mix of cultures and offers a glimpse into the rural life of the region. You’ll spend the night here in a cozy lodge.

    Day 13

    Trek to Dharapani and drive to Besisahar (760m) – 4-5 hours trek, 2-3 hours drive

    Today, you will trek to Dharapani, a small village where you’ll meet up with the road network. From there, you will take a scenic drive back to Besisahar, a bustling town that marks the end of the trekking portion of your journey. The drive offers fantastic views of the surrounding hills and valleys as you make your way back to the lowlands.

    Day 14

    Drive back to Kathmandu – 6-7 hours

    After breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu, the capital city. The scenic journey takes you through picturesque landscapes, offering you a final glimpse of Nepal’s natural beauty. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you can relax and reflect on the incredible adventure you’ve just experienced. This evening is free for you to enjoy some leisure time, shop for souvenirs, or explore the city’s vibrant nightlife.

    Departure day

    On your final day in Nepal, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. You will leave Nepal with lasting memories of an unforgettable trek through the heart of the Himalayas, having experienced the grandeur of the Manaslu Circuit and the beauty of Nepal’s remote mountain regions.
