Arrival in Kathmandu
Your adventure begins as you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, where you will be warmly welcomed by our professional expedition team. After a brief introduction and transfer to your comfortable hotel, you will have the rest of the day to rest and recuperate from your journey. If time permits, you can begin to explore the vibrant and bustling streets of Kathmandu, filled with cultural and historical wonders, local shops, and eateries. This evening, take some time to relax and prepare for the upcoming adventure.

Kathmandu Sightseeing and Preparation
After a restful night, begin your day with a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage sites. Visit the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, perched high on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the city. Next, explore the Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred site for Hindus, and the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in Nepal. Later in the afternoon, we will gather for a pre-expedition briefing where you will receive essential information about the trek, review your gear, and check your equipment to ensure you are fully prepared for the challenging days ahead.

Fly to Lukla, Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
The journey to the Everest region officially begins with an early morning scenic flight to Lukla. This 35-minute flight provides breathtaking views of the Himalayan range, including Everest and other towering peaks. Upon arrival at Lukla, you will begin your trek to Phakding, a peaceful village nestled along the Dudh Koshi River. As you walk through picturesque Sherpa villages, pass by prayer wheels, mani walls, and traditional stone houses, you’ll begin to immerse yourself in the unique culture of the region. After a relatively short day of trekking, you will arrive in Phakding for an overnight stay.

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Today’s trek is a challenging but rewarding ascent as you make your way to Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital of the Khumbu region. The trek begins with a crossing over high suspension bridges that span the Dudh Koshi River before entering Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trail climbs steadily through pine forests, offering spectacular views of Everest and other surrounding peaks. Upon reaching Namche Bazaar, you will be greeted by stunning vistas and the sight of this vibrant market town. Namche is known for its bustling market, local shops, and a hub for trekkers and climbers, and it will be your gateway to further exploration of the Everest region.

Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
To ensure you properly acclimatize to the high altitudes and avoid altitude sickness, today is a rest day in Namche Bazaar. While it’s a day to relax and rejuvenate, it’s also an opportunity to engage in an optional hike to the Everest View Hotel or Khumjung village, which provides stunning panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. You can also explore Namche’s vibrant markets, visit museums that showcase Sherpa culture, or enjoy a freshly baked pastry at one of the local bakeries. Rest and relaxation will be crucial to your body’s adjustment to the altitude.

Trek to Tengboche (3,860m)
Leaving Namche Bazaar, you will trek through enchanting forests of rhododendron and pine to the village of Tengboche, located at 3,860 meters. The trail offers spectacular views of the Himalayas, and along the way, you will pass through the village of Phunki Tenga, where you can enjoy a short rest. Upon reaching Tengboche, visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, which sits against a backdrop of towering peaks like Everest and Ama Dablam. The monastery is an important spiritual site for the Sherpa people, and its serene atmosphere will offer a peaceful retreat for the night.

Trek to Dingboche (4,410m)
Today, you will continue your journey as you trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, passing through the Imja River valley. Along the way, enjoy views of Island Peak, Lhotse, and other peaks that are characteristic of the region. As you trek higher into the barren landscapes, you will begin to feel the increasing effects of the altitude, but the views are sure to inspire and motivate you to push forward. Dingboche is a traditional Sherpa village, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, and it will serve as a perfect base for further acclimatization.

Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
To ensure that your body properly adjusts to the increasing altitude, today will be a rest and acclimatization day in Dingboche. You can enjoy a short hike to Nangkartshang Peak for breathtaking views of Makalu, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam, or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. This is also an excellent opportunity to explore Dingboche village and interact with locals who have called this high-altitude region their home for generations.

Trek to Lobuche (4,910m)
On this day, you will trek from Dingboche to Lobuche, located at 4,910 meters. The trail crosses the Khumbu Khola and gradually ascends, passing memorials dedicated to fallen climbers who have ventured into this rugged terrain. As you walk, enjoy stunning views of Nuptse and Pumori, which loom large on the horizon. Lobuche is a quiet settlement with sweeping mountain vistas, providing a peaceful environment to prepare for the challenging days ahead.

Trek to Gorak Shep (5,140m) and Everest Base Camp (5,364m)
Today is a significant day in your journey as you trek to Gorak Shep, the final settlement before reaching Everest Base Camp. From Gorak Shep, you will continue your trek to Everest Base Camp, the legendary destination for trekkers and climbers from all over the world. Here, you’ll be able to explore the Khumbu Icefall, take memorable photos with the iconic base camp flag, and bask in the unique atmosphere of this historic site. After your visit, return to Gorak Shep for an overnight stay, ready for the next day’s challenge.

Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) and Descend to Lobuche
This morning, rise early to hike up to Kala Patthar, located at 5,545 meters. This is one of the best vantage points in the Everest region, offering panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse as the sun rises over the mountains. After taking in the awe-inspiring views, begin your descent back to Lobuche, retracing your steps through Gorak Shep. Enjoy the tranquility of Lobuche village as you rest and prepare for your Lobuche Peak climb.

Lobuche Base Camp Setup
Today, you will make your way to Lobuche Base Camp, located at an elevation of 5,400 meters. Upon arrival, set up camp and rest while you acclimatize to the high-altitude environment. Our expert climbing Sherpas will provide safety briefings, equipment checks, and climbing instructions to ensure you are fully prepared for the summit push tomorrow.

Summit Day - Lobuche Peak (6,119m)
This is the day you’ve been preparing for—the summit of Lobuche Peak! Starting early in the morning, you will begin your climb, navigating rocky terrain, glaciers, and sections with fixed ropes under the guidance of our expert Sherpas. The climb will test your stamina and mental fortitude, but upon reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the Himalayas. After celebrating your success, begin your descent back to Base Camp, reflecting on your remarkable achievement.

Contingency Day
This day serves as a contingency day in case of unfavorable weather conditions or to allow for additional acclimatization. If all goes according to plan, you can rest at Base Camp or explore the surrounding areas to soak in the beauty of the mountains.

Trek to Pangboche (3,930m)
Following your successful summit, you will descend from Lobuche Base Camp to Pangboche, a scenic Sherpa village where you can enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and share stories of your adventure with locals.

Trek to Namche Bazaar
Continue your descent to Namche Bazaar, passing through Tengboche and enjoying the lush forests and stunning mountain views. Upon reaching Namche, enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in the village.
- 17Day 17
Trek to Lukla
On this day, you will trek from Namche Bazaar back to Lukla, marking the final leg of your trekking adventure. Celebrate the successful completion of your expedition with the team in Lukla before preparing for your return to Kathmandu
- 18Day 18
Fly to Kathmandu
Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. After a scenic flight and arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a well-deserved rest after the exhilarating trek and climb.
- 19Day 19
Departure from Kathmandu
Today is a free day in Kathmandu, offering time for optional sightseeing or relaxation. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey, bidding farewell to Nepal with cherished memories of your Lobuche Peak Expedition.
